Spring Term 2018

Keeping Children Safe Online

In the Spring Term, the School Council focussed on spreading the word about how to keep children safe online. This was to tie in with National Safer Internet day on 6th February, further details can be found on:

The School Council members in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 created a video story of the book The Adventures of Smartie the Penguin.

The children had great fun creating the story and were proud to share this with their class mates to help aid discussion about the dangers of the internet. The video was shared on social media by many partner agencies and we even received positive comments from the author of the book, Lindsay Buck.

Spring Celebration

Members of the School Council in Year 5 and 6 helped out at the Spring Celebration in March by hosting our VIP guests. This included the Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor John Fox and his wife, Councillor Judy Fox. The children gave the guests a tour of the school to showcase the work completed in the school throughout the term.
