Governors

If you have any questions please contact Clerk to Governors and PA to the Principal, Andi Epton-Smith on 01733 566990.

Governors work as a team that we call the Governing Body.  They are responsible for ensuring the Academy provides an outstanding quality education.  This has the best chance of happening when there are high expectations of what pupils can achieve.

Governors also promote effective ways of teaching and learning when setting the school aims and policies.  They do this together with the Principal, who is responsible for the day to day management of the Academy.

All Governing Bodies include governors who are;

*Parent Governors who are elected by parents at the Academy

*Staff Governors who are elected by the Principal, Teachers and Support Staff at the Academy. (The Principal is entitled to be a governor without an election)

*Persons appointed by the Academy sponsor.  There can be up to seven of these addition Governors. (Fulbridge is not a sponsored Academy)

Usually a Governor is appointed for a period of four years but may be subsequently be eligible for re-appointment or re-election.
